Other Tools

The PDS is developing new tools to help in finding, using and preparing PDS data. You can participate in the beta testing process by trying out these new tools and providing us feedback to improve them. In addition to the tools undergoing beta testing, we have some miscellaneous tools as well as tools that support PDS 2010, that may help you work with PDS data.

Beta Tools

  • The Tabular Data Slicer allows you visualize label metadata alongside a tabular data product and extract a portion of the data into a new file.
  • The Image Search tool is a simplified search utility to find and preview image files from the archive.

Miscellaneous Tools

  • The PDS-to-JPEG Converter is a simple utility that converts an 8-bit PDS image into a JPEG image for ease of viewing.
  • The Keyword Report Tool (KRTool) is intended to search for and report a list of statements, in Planetary Data System (PDS) labeled data products, that match a user-supplied list of keywords.

PDS 2010 Tools

  • The first tools for generating and validating PDS labels for PDS 2010 are scheduled to be available in the Spring of 2010.
