The Surveyor spacecraft, fabricated by Lockheed Martin Astronautics, is shown in this artist's rendering with its wing-like solar arrays and high-gain antenna fully extended. Two box-like structures at the center of the spacecraft house the equipment module and the propulsion module. The equipment module holds all of the spacecraft's electronics and science instruments. The propulsion module houses Surveyor's rocket engines and propellant tanks.
