Description : Release 16 of MESSENGER MASCS UVVS CDR data includes a new MASCS volume, MESSMAS_2101. Most of the files on this volume improve on the previously released products, but the older volume (MESSMAS_2001) remains available in PDS. This is the first release of two new types of UVVS DDR products: the UVVS FUV Surface Derived Data Record (DDR) and the UVVS Atmosphere Summary DDRs. Please see UVVS_CDR_DDR_SIS.PDF in the DOCUMENT directory for a full description of these new products. All UVVS Atmosphere DDRs are redelivered due to calibration and data processing improvements. This includes 31 new MG LS and LD products that had not been previously delivered. Please see UVVS_PROCESSING_UPDATES_PDS16.PDF in the DOCUMENT directory for more information. All UVVS MUV Surface DDRs are redelivered due to the updates to the input CDRs listed in Note 2 above. Please see UVVS_PROCESSING_UPDATES_PDS16.PDF in the DOCUMENT directory for more information. Three UVVS MUV Surface DDRs that had previously been delivered have been removed from the archive, because not all records touch the target suface: UMD_ORB_49_11159_145046_HDR.DAT UMD_ORB_48_11245_010911_HDR.DAT UMD_ORB_48_11245_010911_SCI.DAT Volume MESSMAS_2101 also includes a new combined UVVS-VIRS DDR data set, MESS-E/V/H-MASCS-4-UVVS/VIRS-DDR-V1.0 In addition to the new and revised data products, volume MESSMAS_2101 includes a new document, 'MASCS/VIRS Lamp-Based Flat Field Report', in the DOCUMENT directory.
